Icebreaking Igloos

On the 15th of August it snowed. In fact the snow was 15-20 cm deep. With this snow we decided to build a fort, this was destroyed by Harry and Keanu. Lily then decided to build a giant snowball. She did this by starting off with a small snowball and rolling it in the snow, this snowball was around 1 metre high; this was also destroyed by Harry and Keanu. We saw half the snowball and it gave us the idea of making an igloo. Harry and Keanu finally stopped destroying things and got to work by getting us some chunks of snow. This worked until Steven (Lily’s cousin) came up with the idea of using ice-cream containers as stencils for the snow to form bricks. Harry and Keanu then went to the dairy. When they came back they dropped their gum, we then decide that it was our duties to eat it all! Then we got back to work.
We started to pile up the bricks in a circle formation, we did this until we got to level 7 then we started to put the bricks on an angle and eventually they were on such an angle that they formed a roof. We then patched up all the holes with soft snow and went inside. It was extremely cosy and warm!
It took us approximately 2 hours to make the igloo, we made 3 igloo’s in 2 days, 1 on the 15th 2 on the 16th.

We let the community use the igloo’s, they attracted lots of young citizens, until we woke up on the 16th and went out to the park to see if it was still standing. Unfortunately someone had turned it into a ramp for a snowboard. We were then depressed and decided to fulfil our dreams by creating another igloo. But unfortunately it collapsed under the weight of Steven sitting on it. And so we made another but this one luckily didn’t get knocked over and is still standing!!
